Evolution and Diagnosis

The technical support team administers social, psychological, academic and communication evaluations to determine the skills and needs of each student. Then, an individualized plan is developed.

Academic Services

The institute follows the academic programs for early childhood, preschool and elementary levels developed by the Ministry of Public Education.

Speech Therapy

During individual and group sessions of speech therapy, oral communication is developed through hearing stimulation, and communication strategies that will increase the linguistic competence of students.


 

Mexican Sign Language.

The sign language courses are offered by instructors from the Deaf community.

The objective is to promote Mexican Sign Language in order to improve communication with and between hearing and Deaf.

The courses include vocabulary, grammar, facial and body expression and theoretical information. The courses are designed for the families of students, teachers, agencies and people interested in learning Mexican Sign Language.

Workshops for Parents.

The Institute offers psychological, educational, developmental, health and social information to the parents of the deaf students. Sign language is strongly promoted.

 

Technical Support.

The Institute offers advice about the use of Mexican Sign Language and the educational, psychological and social aspects of the Deaf. The advice is given on an individual or group basis to institutions, students, professionals and associations interested in increasing their knowledge of deaf persons.
